How do we go about bringing renewal and transformation to the Church? We could listen to Jesus, or maybe another deity has a better opinion?

Huh?!? The BC Synod of the ELCIC is sponsoring a conference called “Church Depot” that is a “workshop series for parish health and growth”. But instead of setting hearts towards Christ as the source of hope for a world (and Church) in need, one speaker suggests turning to “the Spirit of Gaia, our Living Dew-Hearted Mother Earth spinning in the Infinite Cosmic Mystery”. If we want parish health and growth, we cannot turn to the created, we must turn to the Creator.
What if we rediscovered the Author and Perfecter of our faith? Jesus can clean us inside and out and breathe new life into the Alberta Synod and the ELCIC again.
